Russel is a native East Texan, born and raised in Tyler. After finishing High School Russel attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene where he played football. He worked in his family business in Jacksonville before beginning his real estate career in 2007 where he ran a very successful real estate team at RE/MAX Tyler for many years, earning a Top 50 Team award with RE/MAX of Texas. Being a big supporter of his community Russel is involved in the Whitehouse Education Foundation, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the Shriners Hospitals for Children along with many other local causes. Russel served on the board of directors at the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors and helped see through the construction of the beautiful facility that local agents now enjoy. He has also served as a Trustee for the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee that fights to protect property owners’ rights. Russel is also the owner of the Enright Group, a successful and top rated East Texas Insurance Agency. He is the proud father of three children and stays very involved in their sports and activities. Russel's love for real estate led him to purchase Cherokee Real Estate at the end of 2019 from Mike McEwen to continue the excellent service that Mike has provided to the East Texas Community.
